Annesley Abercorn appointed as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA)

24th June 2013

I was recently honoured to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (More commonly known as the Royal Society of Arts or RSA).

This 250 year old institution is ” an enlightenment organisation committed to finding innovative practical solutions to today’s social challenges.”

I am delighted that my involvement in and commitment to improving our society has been recognised through this fellowship.

The RSA is an environment in which individuals who want to make a difference to public policy and contribute to change can do so in more collaborative and informative way. I look forward to being exposed to additional issues and perspectives that can be brought to the forefront of my mind.

One of my particular interests is seeking to bridge the gap between the arts/culture/media and politics and I look forward to meeting other Fellows who may have an interest in similar areas. It is a privilege to be associated with such an august institution.
